Welcome to Art Teacher HQ, the headquarters (that’s “HQ”) for all of us art-teaching superheroes out there!
My hope is that this blog will truly become a base where art teachers can come to find ideas, share ideas, and get some extremely useful tips, tricks, and lesson plans that will make life in the art room a bit (or a whole lot) easier!
My name is Merrily Boyd, and I began teaching elementary art in 2008. While I will write some blog posts from time to time, I hope this blog will be written BY art teachers everywhere as well as FOR art teachers everywhere. This means that most blog posts will not be written by me but by other teachers, homeschool parents, volunteers, and anyone else with some experience teaching art.
Over time, we will grow our collection of art teacher input to create a searchable archive of lessons and advice. The more ideas, the merrier!
Do you have a tried and tested art project idea or art-teaching-related blog post you would like to share? If so, please contact me.
If you are an art teacher (or classroom teacher who wants to incorporate art), homeschool parent, or an artsy-craftsy person in general, please subscribe or bookmark this page and visit often for new ideas!
